Seven Must Haves that the Special Female Funeral Director in Your Life Needs and Would Love

Hello everyone! I hope you've had a great Christmas, and start to the new year. It's been awhile since I've posted, but with work, spending time with my family during the holidays as well as beginning to start preparing for my wedding I've just not had time. It saddens me to say that winter has finally arrived (which is a waste since the holidays are over), so I wanted to share with you guys some necessities for winter especially for us in the business who have to go out to services with snow flying around. However, they're good for anyone who has to work outside. Below are seven of my favorite things and products. .

The Perfect Wool Coat
This is a MUST in the wintertime. They're very helpful in keeping you warm from the cold wind and snow. I don't have this exact jacket, but I do have a red and of course black one which will go with any outfit that I decide to wear.

Bandless Ear Muffs
Yes, bandless ear muffs. I never even knew these existed until my fiancé introduced me to them. They're exactly what they're called, earmuffs without the band crossing over the top of your head. They simply snap on your ear to cover them. They're available in any color or animal print you can imagine, and for those of us who wear our hair down, people will not even be able to notice that you have these on. Plus they're pretty affordable. They're available for purchase at www.earmuffshop.com

Cuddl Duds
Forget the itchy uncomfortable "long underwear" that many of our grandparents and parents wore underneath their clothes in the wintertime. Cuddl Duds are MUCH more comfortable to wear under your clothes. They're available in fleece too, and also have a line for men and children as well. You can find them online, but if you don't want to fool with ordering them, Wal-Mart has started carrying them in the women's underwear department.

Hunter Rain Boots
For anyone that has to go out to cemeteries, whether it be raining or snowing, they should invest in a pair of these boots. I've had several different brands of rain boots throughout the years and I have to say that Hunter is the best brand that I've found so far. They do not leak, and they have a good sole on the bottom to keep from slipping and sliding around. They're pricey, but in my opinion well worth the money. After all, keeping your feet warm and dry is most important.

Hot Hands and Feet Packs
These are a little piece of heaven in a packet. All you have to do is shake them up to activate, and stick them in your coat pockets for easy access to hold on to when you're standing out in the cold. Surprisingly they do help ALOT. I've not tried the shoe insert ones yet but I will definitely soon. Another plus is that these are affordable and easy to find. Many Dollar Generals as well as Wal-Mart carries them during the cold weather season.

Carmex Hydrating Lotion
This stuff right here was my saving grace a couple of winters ago. Before I was introduced to the cuddl duds, I wore thin dress pants year around. When winter come and I was exposed to the cold winter air my legs became raw to the point that they hurt whenever I barely touched them. For those who know me, knows that I am a HUGE Dollar Store shopper. I stumbled upon the lotion there and figured I would give it a try and I'm so thankful that I did. Every morning and night I would put it on my legs and in two days they were almost completely healed. It contains aloe and vitamin E which helps to heal skin. If used regularly, it prevents your skin from getting wind chaffed, red and irritated from the strong winds and cold. In addition to the Dollar Store, you can find it at Wal-Mart and any Drug Store for about six bucks.

Smith's Rosebud Salve
My grandmother introduced me to this when I was a little girl. She absolutely loved it. This company called The Rosebud Perfume Company has been around for LONG time. It began in 1895 by George F. Smith. This should be a holy grail for any makeup lover because it has many uses other than just being a lip balm. You can tame your eyebrows and flyaway hairs, apply to your cheekbones for a hint of color and use as a base for your powdered eye-shadow. I love it because it keeps your lips hydrated, and since it comes in a cute little good-sized tin, it lasts a long time (a little goes a long way).  You can order it from the Rosebud Salve Company online and Sephora also carries it.

There you have it! My seven must-have products for the winter! (Men can can benefit from some of these products too.) I hope everyone stays safe and warm!
